P2 - Describe the settings for different camera types to achieve cinematic quality footage

 Frame rate

What is frame rate?

Frame Rate is the number of frames/images per second that make up a video. It is measured as FPS where the higher the frame rate and fluid motions. The standard frame rate for movies and cinematics such as slow motion is 24FPS, however 30FPS and 60FPS is standard for TV & games.

Video game frame rate varies to platform and hardware, but typically is between 30 and 240FPS or higher if playing on uncapped frame rate.

How to adjust frame rate?

To change a frame rate of a video you can right-click on a video file and choose properties. Also, you can use a video player that displays information.
You should change your frame rate depending what the video is for. For example, if your original video is 30FPS and you want to slow it down, you can change it to 24FPS. The best way to change video frame rate is by using editing  software.

Look at several frame rates and explain why they may be used? (16, 24, 30, 60)

ISO / Aperture

ISO and aperture are essential in photography and videography that affect the exposure and overall look of the footage and photography.

ISO refers to the sensitivity of the camera's sensor to light. A higher ISO number means that the camera sensor is more sensitive to light and results in a more exposed image, while a lower ISO number means that the sensor is less sensitive and results in a less exposed image/footage. When shooting in low light conditions, you may need to increase the ISO to get a properly exposed image or video. However, a high ISO can introduce noise or grain into the footage, which can reduce the overall quality.

Aperture refers to the opening in the lens through which light passes to reach the camera sensor. The aperture is expressed in f-stops, with a lower f-stop number indicating a larger aperture and more light in the lens. A larger aperture can create a shallow depth of field, which can be useful for creating a blurred background in photos and videos. However, a wider aperture can also result in a softer focus, which may not be as pleasing in some situations.

In summary, ISO and aperture both affect the amount of light that enters the camera, and both can have an impact on the final look of the footage. Understanding how to balance these two is essential for achieving a proper exposure and aesthetic in your footage.

Setting up camera equipment

Record a video of showing how to adjust the settings. Do multiple clips edited together.

Include images of what you have taken using the settings set on the video

Use Youtube videos to research and include the video on the blog and explain how it helped understand how to set it up.

How will I use these settings in my music video

How will i use the information in this post to complete the overall task of the unit?
