Unit 18: Cinematography

It allows the camera to move vertically, horizontally or in circular motions. The camera is mounted on tripod/mount that is attached to the dolly platform, which is usually on a set of rails, tracks or wheels that are placed on the ground. The movement is controlled by a grip that is used to push or pull the dolly along or to steer it. They can be used for a variety of shots including tracking shots, crane shots and low angle shots.  For this unit, I am going to create a music video to show my ability in creating cinematic footage using different filming techniques and lighting techniques. I will also demonstrate my ability to use a variety of camera equipment when making this project.
